Masta Blasta Band, also known as “The Orange Family," is one of the biggest and most entertaining of the five main bands in Carnival Calabar. Founded in December 2005, the band now has over 10,000 members from around the world.

Led by Chief Senator Gershom Bassey, the band is known for its inclusive approach, welcoming people from all walks of life. Whether local or international, the Orange Family creates a joyful atmosphere for families, friends, and visitors alike.

The Orange Family has been the overall champion of the Carnival Calabar from 2012 to 2016. It holds the record as the only band to win the most prizes in all competition categories within a single year in the history of the Calabar Carnival.
